Day 1 of My Dreadlocks Journey: A New Beginning
Welcome to the first step in my dreadlocks journey! Today marks the official start of a transformation I’ve been contemplating for a while. I’ve taken the leap, and my starter locs are finally in. The beginning of this process is more than just a change in hairstyle—it’s the start of a personal journey of growth, patience, and self-expression.

Day 1: Starter Locs
Here they are—my day one starter locs, done by my long time friend Yemi of Hair Boss Boutique. These photos capture the very beginning, a raw and real representation of the process. Everyone’s loc journey is unique, and I’m embracing the individuality that comes with starting from scratch.
The first few months will require patience as my locs transition, mature, and take shape. While they’re just starting, I’m already imagining the future—locs that tell a story, reflect my personality, and carry with them the journey of time and effort.
